What are the most successful apps you have built for your clients?
Singers Talent Hunt Contest: Levitum was chosen by one of the country's most popular rock bands and leading radio stations to build an iPhone and Nokia app for a nationwide singers talent hunt contest and radio reality show. Participants download the mobile app, sing along karaoke style to the band's tracks, and submit their recording right from the phone. The winners took part in a nationwide finale, and will be traveling with the band and singing onstage during their next tour.
Motor Club & Leisure Travel Organization: Levitum has built both the iPhone and Android apps for one of North America's leading providers of emergency roadside services, with over 50 million subscribers. The application captures the users current location using the GPS, helps him troubleshoot his problem through a set of personalized workflows, captures additional information needed for roadside help, and automatically creates a request for a tow dispatch.
Food & Beverage Advertising & Marketing: A tribute to a well known advertising icon, the app lets the user browse through historical advertisements and political commentary of the food & beverage brand over the decades.
Martial Arts Education: Levitum was chosen by one of the worlds leading swordmasters to build a martial arts education application that enables ninjutsu students to stay in touch with a structured educational methodology wherever they are - at home, in the dojo, on the go.
Online Radio Station: FM is passé, enjoy your favorite songs streamed straight to your mobile.
Dictaphone: Classic old world styled dictaphone designed for journalists for running interviews and making transcripts.
Notetaking and Archiving Client: Lightweight client with tight Evernote integration for quick note taking on the go, with your data safe and accessible anywhere.

^ back to topWhat processes do you follow?
We often typically work with several distributed teams in multiple timezones, and adopt a lightweight agile methodology tuned towards the specific needs of the project. We typically run fortnightly Scrum cycles, although we’ve also done weekly on smaller projects. We work closely together through a combination of a) strong teamwork and collaboration, b) video conferencing, screen sharing, and other tools, and c) continuous ongoing communication and review.
^ back to topWhat are the other services you offer?
We offer design and architecture consulting services.
Our user interface designs are well researched, state of the art, and incredibly easy and fun to use. Our understanding of the user experience from a mobile perspective is one of our key differentiators.
We also have deep and broad expertise building highly scalable software in use by millions of end users, and relish the challenge of helping you develop a technology strategy that enables you to build future proof software.
^ back to topI need to port my iPhone app to Android. Can you help?
Absolutely. We recently ported a large and complex iPhone application over the Android and would be happy to share our insights gained and make recommendations.
^ back to topI would like a mobile website built instead of building individual native apps. Is that possible?
In our experience, it is best to look for ways to look for a meaningful blend of a native and mobile web experience. In some cases, we’ve built out mobile websites straight up in HTML5/jQuery/Javascript/CSS. In others, we’ve also blended in a native app with a mobile web approach, which offers the best of both worlds.
^ back to topHow fast do you deliver?
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver fast with a high quality bar. A typical project involves a 25-day turnaround for delivery against initial spec.
^ back to topHow do you begin work once we have talked about the assignment?
Once the assignment has been commissioned, we’ll immediately assign a project manager, and an architect to initiate requirements gathering, design and prototyping. Based on the nature of the project, we’ll start to load in designers, developers, testers, illustrators and documentation professionals where needed.
^ back to topAre our ideas safe with you?
We take your privacy and intellectual property seriously. And what this means is that beyond signing of the NDAs and other contractual documentation, you have our commitment to ensuring that your data and intellectual property will be secured.
^ back to topWhat visibility do I have into the app development process?
We maintain complete transparency throughout the process. We will engage together at the start of every development cycle to plan out all activities, and keep your team involved at each stage to share demos, review progress, solicit inputs, incorporate feedback, and tune the application.
^ back to topCan I request for changes midway?
Absolutely. We believe that change is good, and absorb refinements and ideas into ongoing sprint cycles. In case the scope of a change is significant, we will come back to you to review options
^ back to topHow do you deliver?
All deliverables will be placed on one of our secure servers for download with your credentials. The deliverables will be accompanied with necessary installation documentation.
^ back to topWhat kind of support can I expect after you deliver the app?
Standard post delivery support is included in all our contracts as a warranty period, which is extensible based on your needs.
^ back to topWho are the resources would get assigned for the projects?
The success and failure of offshore projects often depends on the man on the ground. We allocate a resource based on the most relevant blend of technical, functional, communication and cultural skills needed for a project. We do not specify named resources but instead focus on the end deliverable and how to get there.
^ back to topHow do you ensure that the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad app meets all of Apple's standards?
Apple has laid out well-detailed standards for app submissions. We ensure that software we build adheres to Apple’s guidelines and uses only documented methods from the framework. In our experience, whenever we have stuck to the guidelines thoroughly, we have never had trouble with getting an app through the App Store within 5 days of submission. That said, Apple’s response time could vary, and please plan on a 2-week review period ahead of your launch date.

We work in a variety of flexible models, and are open to time and materials (T&M) as well as fixed price (FPP) projects. The FPP projects can be broken out into a set of convenient milestones.
